What does "VSF" mean, and how is it different from a plain variable speed pump?
VSF stands for Variable Speed and Flow. A standard variable speed pump holds a fixed RPM you program. A VSF pump targets a fixed flow rate and adjusts RPM automatically to hit it, compensating for filter loading and system changes.
Does it include the touchscreen?
No. The 011065 does not include the I/O board or touchscreen. The universal touchscreen add-on is sold separately and is colour-matched to the pump: 356159Z (almond) is the version for IntelliFlo3 pumps such as this one. The 356348Z is the black version, intended for black IntelliPro3 pumps — it will function, but the finish will not match an almond pump.
Will this work with 1.5" plumbing?
Yes. It ships with 2" unions plus adapters for 1.5" plumbing.
Is it California compliant?
Yes. As a variable speed pump it meets California Title 20 requirements for residential pool filtration, unlike single-speed pumps of 1.0 THP or greater.
Do I need automation to use it?
